HAPPY NEW YEAR. As we begin a new year, we are half way into our Auxiliary year and have accomplished many things for our veterans. We have written letters to our legislatures to remind them to support our veterans with what was promised to them when they served. We have assisted our veterans In many ways through Stand Down, assistance when needed, cookies for the clinics and dinners and picnics for our Visually Impaired Veterans to name a few. But, our job isn’t finished. We still have all our programs to support and finish. Cancer Aid & Research, Veterans & Family Support, Hospital and our Youth Programs along with many others. We need you, our members, to help. So, if you can spare an hour or two, please volunteer. If you haven’t paid your dues, you are now no longer a member in good standing. To change that status please send your dues in as soon as possible. If you are having problems paying these dues, please contact us.

We are still collecting Acme receipts that state “Community Cashback”. Deadline on these receipts is February 11, 2012. Receipts must be turned in by me to Acme by March 3, 2012.

We are still collecting coupons for the Veterans. Drop them off in the Canteen. NO local coupons please.

 

CANCER CARD PARTY CHAIRMAN -  Sandy Szollosi

We plan to have a Cancer Card Party meeting  on Saturday, January 14 around 11:00 -11:15 a.m. following the Stand Down meeting scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Please plan to attend both of these meeting if you can.

Our Cancer Card Party will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2012.  Due to the success of the gift basket raffle over the last several years, we will continue to offer beautiful theme gift baskets as raffle prizes along with any other gift certificates and door prizes that are donated.

We are requesting that you, our members, get together with a few friends and donate contents for a theme basket. We will need your basket/contents to be dropped off at the Post no later than Friday, February 24, 2012. That will give the committee plenty of time to wrap, stuff and put the “finishing touches” on the beautiful theme baskets.
